South Country Health Alliance (SCHA), a county-based health plan serving 12 Counties in Minnesota, has the following openings:

  • OPERATIONS MANAGER: Develop and enhance Third Party Administrator (TPA) relationships and serve as the primary point of contact with assigned TPAs. Interface with internal staff regarding TPA projects and issues, and represent SCHA to its regulators. Ensure new (CMS) and (DHS) guidance and regulation is communicated to TPAs and implemented consistent with contract requirements.

    Required: Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, business administration, or related industry and 3 years’ experience in healthcare administration or related industry. 7 years’ experience in above industries may be considered in lieu of degree; Basic knowledge of State and Federal programs.

  • DENTAL PROGRAM MANAGER: Provide oversight and management of SCHA’s dental program. Serve as primary contact for SCHA’s dental benefit administrator. Interface with dental providers to maintain and build the dental network to improve member access. Serve as subject matter expert in the area of dental benefits.

    Required: Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (with current MN licensure), health care administration, business administration, or related field and 3 years’ experience in dental services, health care administration, insurance, or related field or licensure as a dentist in the State of MN. 10 years’ experience in dental field may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROGRAM MANAGER: Has a central role in the development and coordination of SCHA’s mental and chemical health programmatic activities; Manages the delivery of all mental and chemical health benefits to qualified enrollees; Provides leadership for SCHA programs in Mental and Chemical Health for state and federal programs; Works in collaboration with TPA and county and care system partners to provide direction, training, and project support.

    Required: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field or current and valid, unrestricted RN license in MN; At least 3 years of experience working in the mental health and/or chemical health field.

  • DISEASE MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR: Provide education to eligible enrollees (via telephone and U.S. Mail), who have chronic medical conditions for which SCHA has Disease Management (DM) programs such as heart failure, diabetes, and asthma, in order to help improve their health status and reduce health care costs.

    Required: Current and valid, unrestricted RN license in MN; At least 2 years’ experience in a hospital, acute care or direct care setting. County Public Health (PH) or Human Service (HS) experience meets above requirements.

  • COMPLEX CASE MANAGER: Performs case management, within the scope of licensure, for members with complex and chronic care needs by assessing, developing, implementing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating care plans designed to optimize member health care across the care continuum and ensuring member access to services appropriate to their health needs.

    Required: Current, Valid and unrestricted RN License in Minnesota plus 3 years clinical experience in acute care, or a clinical setting, or case management.

  • PROVIDER NETWORK MANAGER: Responsible for assisting in the network development and contracting of provider networks in assigned geographic areas and implementing a provider relations/servicing program that ensures a collaborative working relationship between SCHA, its (Third Party Administrators) TPAs, and the provider network.

    Required: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in health care related field; at least 3 years’ experience in a health care delivery setting (i.e. physician group practice, health insurance, HMO or community service agency); Provider Contracting experience; Solid understanding of the local provider community and competing managed care organizations; Knowledge of claims adjudication process, general coding and billing rules; Knowledge of both State Public Programs and Medicare products preferred.

  • PROGRAMMER/ANALYST: Responsible for the design, development, testing, maintenance, and support of organization-wide IT solutions which allow SCHA to manage a broad profile of enrollee services, provider network considerations, and regulatory requirements. This position has a strong emphasis on SharePoint 2013.

    Required: BS degree in computer science or equivalent; Minimum of 1 year experience as a Programmer/Analyst or similar position OR an AS degree in computer science or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Programmer/Analyst or similar position; Strong knowledge of IT development techniques and tools; healthcare experience preferred.

  • SENIOR MANAGER - CLINICAL PROGRAMS: Leads/directs clinical program teams, delegates duties to staff, and responds to clinical operational issues/concerns while promoting quality and productivity in the administration of the clinical programs area of Health Services; accountable for meeting the financial, operational and quality objectives of the unit.

    Required: Current and valid, unrestricted RN license in MN; 5+ years relevant clinical experience; Medical knowledge of Medicare and/or Public Programs; International Classification of Diseases (ICD) knowledge and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding experience.

    Minimum salary - $69,666/annual (Exempt)
